In a world where everyone is either a criminal or a victim.
Earth was ravaged by wars, chemicals and radiation. A green sludge borders every city, town and population. Governments have fallen but corporations thrived. The poor are subject to the greed of the few Elites.

Excerpt:
To most people, the Earth became a prison, an institution for the insane. The sane were saved and placed in enclosed rooms with padded walls. People were shackled by their DNA. The Elite ousted the Breeds from their personal spaces, isolated behind corporations, walls and computers as the Breeds roamed free amongst the devastation. A Breed could only progress so far up the ladder before an Elite would knock him down the rungs.
The wars were a cause for the sludge, an unimaginable carnage that swept across the planet. So many deaths and fears had impacted the surviving races that the images of war became soft glimmers to their minds; the survivors tried to bury the violent thoughts into recesses. No one discussed these thoughts and images, like cancers infecting their souls. The wars were a taboo that no one understood and everyone rejected.
The sun fought against the clouds. Every time a strand of light penetrated beyond their pink and green plumes, the clouds swallowed the light up.
A broken highway curved out of the horizon and turned towards the south. Three helicopters flocked towards the south, chasing a ballistic car down the crumbling highway. The car veered, crashed, tumbled, rolled, flipped upright and then continued to race southward. The helicopter gun ports erupted with 25 mm bullets and shredded the vehicle. The occupants and the last pieces of car were tossed off the highway and dumped into the sludge.
Along the highway, the train roared down the I20 tracks, dispersing wafts of green haze that had drifted across the rusted rails. The single car wobbled while speeding a thousand meters above ground.
Below it, green sludge ebbed chaotically, containing the trapped dead souls, still exchanging violence within the folds of forgotten wars and governments. The sludge blanketed the Earth like a gnarled and prickly afghan, an evolutionary disease, a reminder of Human loss, accused of causing the Breeds’ mutation into half animals.
